Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Storm 3 is the series' bestseller

Media Create, the well-known Japanese console game market researcher, reported (via GAF) that Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Storm 3 has sold 87,661 copies in its first week in Japan.

The game has now become the best selling Naruto fighting game, and also beat the first week sales of the PS3 version of the original Street Fighter IV.

Known as Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 in the west, the game was just released in Japan last week – more than a month after the western releases.

The game was developed by CyberConnect2 who is developing Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle which will be released on August 29.
