Kazunoko tried to rush down Kindevu, who had a hard time getting in for a combo in previous matches. So he basically made the job easier for Kindevu.

Exciting match. Kindevu looked like he got some chance. But everyone knows that Cannon Strike is coming including Fuudo. So Fuu either shoryuken'd or FA'd it, and he was really fast. Fuu survived 2-3 rounds with low health. Kindevu dropped 2 Ultras.

A break after this match.

  1. 2-0
  2. 2-1
  3. 2-1 *nice comeback in last round
Fuudo 2-3 Bon-chan
  1. 1-2
  2. 2-0 *A comeback in last round
  3. 2-0

Great match. Bon was cornered many times but his ground game is too good he was able to break it out.

Umehara 3-2 Mago

  2. 1-2 *Both missed Ultra in 2nd round
  3. 1-2 *jump kick>ultra finish in last round by Mago
  4. 2-1
  5. 2-0 *really nice comeback in 1st round *nice super in last round
This is it! This's the form that made him won Evo twice! Ume connected 3 nice Ultras, was more patient and got 2 timeout wins. Both played well and tried to read each other.

Kazunoko 1-3 Fuudo
  1. 2-1
  2. 1-2 *A comeback in last round
  3. 0-2
  4. 0-2 *Fuudo won in last round without any health.
